Ulavacharu Biryani Telugu Movie Review

Ulavacharu Biryani Movie Review - Ulavacharu Biryani Telugu Movie Review - Prakash Raj Ulavacharu Biryani

After directing Naanu Nanna Kanasu and Dhoni, Prakash Raj is back to wielding megaphone for the third time. Incidentally, like his previous two films, this one is also a remake. Tipped to be a remake of Malayalam hit 'Salt N Pepper', the film is remade into Telugu, Tamil and Kannada. Directed and acted by Prakash Raj, the Ulavacharu Biryani marks a comeback for Sneha in Telugu. Is this Biryani tasty, sumptuous enough to satiate your taste buds? check out our verdict.

Story:

Ulavacharu Biryani is all about love, food and loneliess. The film deals with two couples- one matured couple Kalidas (Prakash Raj) and Gowri (Sneha), one young couple Naveen (Tejus) and Meghana (Samyukta Hornad). While Kalidas is an archaeologist, Gowri is a voice-over, dubbing artiste. Naveen and Meghana are happy-go-lucky youth who hardly have a goal in their life and just enjoy their life to the hilt. How did they meet each other? What happens in their life? What's the confusion that affected their relationships? How did they figure out it at the end? The answers to these questions form the story.

Cast:

Undeniably, Prakash Raj's performance is spotless. He breathed life into his role and carried off the whole film on his shoulders. Sneha fits the bill as an aged siren who is watching out for a groom of her age. Sneha's acting prowess is big asset for the film. New kid on the block, Tejus, has done his part well. Samyukta is the one who steal the show with her looks. Easy on eyes, Samyukta is equally good in showcasing expressions.

Analysis:

It is not every Friday you come across a film like Ulavacharu Biryani. It is a perfect blend of romance, food and relationships. Well conceived and aesthetically shot, the film is so close to reality that it generates a feeling of deja vu. Timely dialogues, appropriate casting, nice background score by Ilaiyaraaja are what work in favour of the film. Prakash has striken a fine balance between direction and acting. It is evident in many of the scenes. The loneliness part among Prakash Raj and Sneha was dealt well.

Well, like any other film, this movie too has its own share of minuses. Draggy narration, non-relevant Adivasi episode are working against the film. Screenplay could have been better and little-more brooding over the script would have overturned the fortunes of the film.Brahmaji's sequence could have been conceived well. As the movie progresses towards the end, it turn out predictable. Save few laughs in the first half and romance of young couple in the second half, the film is a good one-time watch. Have you ever got a call from opposite sex due to a wrong dial and you extended a talk? Then definitely, chances are higher for you to connect with this film.

Plus:

  1. Prakash Raj and Sneha's acting

  2. Ilaiyaraaja's background score

  3. Screenplay

Minus:

  1. Draggy narration

  2. Adivasi episode

  3. Predictable plot
    Rating: 2.5/5
Cast: Prakash Raj, Sneha, Tejus, Samyukta Hornad

Direction: Prakash Raj

Music: Ilaiyaraaja

Producers: Prakash Raj, KS Rama Rao

Final word : One-time eatable Biryani
